Hi busybody.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean.
We don't 'download' files from an email. If an email has attachments we "Save" them to the hard disk. They are already downloaded to the computer from the email server.
What do you mean by "Encoding"? A file is a file. It is what it is so where does encoding come in?
If an email has a zipped file I will save the file to my Desktop, (a good place for temporary storage), scan it with my anti-virus scanner, then if that comes up clear I will extract the files. Where does that fail for you?
If a zipped file is 'killed' then I assume the anti-virus scanner found a virus and quarantined the file.

The new look is fancy and dandy but the problem is that i cannot choose encoding when i download multiple files from an Email.
For most users it may be not an issue since their received attachment named in English, but for the rest of the international user it do matter.
When i download a zipped file, all the file names in the zip file are killed, turn to symbols such as "a_____23.doc".
Yes, i cleared my cache, Yes i disabled addons, Yes i surf on latest Chrome version derivative (Comodo ver 15), Yes its replicable in Firefox too).
what next? try prayer?
