Another Blackhawk Down Near Tikrit...

by Blake Cook / November 6, 2003 5:41 PM PST

Referring to the first war related death of a Polish soldier in decades, the Polish Defense Ministry said "the situation in Iraq is getting complicated. The level of professionalism of the terrorists is increasing"...

According to GW, that means that those who are fighting us are getting desperate. As they continue to kill our troops and down our aircraft with increasing ease, I have a hard time buying GW's claims. GW told them to "bring it on". It appears that they have accepted his invitation...

Duplicate! Hi Dale. Never refresh your screen in CNET, if the last

thing you did was add a thread or respond to a post. The Jive software duplicates your last action - submitting the post.

Although I'm not Dale, I appreciate your information Ian. I noticed this problem a few days again when I inadvertently duped another message after refreshing the page. I had since forgotten about that incident...

Today, I posted my initial message and then walked away from my PC. I have my main SE page set in my browser to refresh every 5 minutes. Luckily I spotted this before it added a few hundred dupes this morning. Next time, I may not be so lucky. I hope they fix this flaw before it becomes a serious problem...

I think it happens sometimes if you click on the post you just posted too. That's the only thing I can think I did yesterday and 38 minutes later a dupe popped up. I KNOW I was not on that page or anywhere near it for all those 38 minutes. It's interesting my original post was 38 minutes after an hour and then the dupe was 38 minutes later. Don't know if there is a connection there or just coincidence. Filed in the back of my mind to keep an eye on.

Hi James,

I take this to mean that you have eyes in the back of your head. Happy

Whatever the reason is, it has to be fixed and soon! We don't have to try to see why it happens and how it happens, just say it happens (which we have known for a long time) and it is supposed to be fixed! I'd hoped that Lee had someone to assist him in all this. It certainly would take some weight off of his shoulders!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
