More Information Please
by Grif Thomas Forum moderator / March 10, 2008 1:03 AM PDT

What operating system are you using?

Which browser are you using? If Internet Explorer, which version? Have you tried a secondary browser such as Firefox and does it occur with the secondary browser as well?

You mention that you're seeing the message when you "surf"... Are you attempting to open a movie file at the time or does the message simply come up for no reason?

Have you cleaned out all the Temporary Internet Files and Cookies from their folders?

Scanned the computer with a good antispyware tool such as the one at the link below?

b]Ewido/AVG Antispyware 7.5 Tool

Hope this helps and let us know more.

Have you played mpeg movies before ? Have you installed a digital camcorder before ?

Go to Start>All Programs>startup - is anything connected to mpeg movie there ? If so, delete them. Also go to msconfig >Startup tab and uncheck everything connected to or have "mpeg".

The next time the message appears, bring up the task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del)- what programs are running ?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
