ANNOUNCEMENT: Forum Registration Database will be down

Sep 21, 2004 8:14AM PDT

FYI:

Wednesday (09/22/04), operation will be performing some major maintenance to our registration database servers and it will be down for approximately 15 hours between hours of 2:00 PM (9/22) to 5:00 AM PSDT (09/23), that is if all goes according to the plan.

If all goes according to the plan, during this period you WILL have access to the forums, but you will be UNABLE to login to post messages or sign up for the community forums.

If all goes according to the plan, you will have a functioning forum after 5:00 AM PSDT (09/23/04).

I hope I have given you the expectation that things can go wrong. So let's wish the engineers good luck and hope that all goes according to the plan!

We apologize for the inconvenience during this period.

Thanks everyone!

The times shown for this temporary shut down is PSDT (Pacific Standard Daylight Time) which is the times shown here when you make a post (San Francisco, California,USA:

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=224

so in about 12minutes from now the forums should be under maintenance. Happy
