Or aren't all those guys being arrested for soliciting a minor over the internet (last time I looked IMs are still going over the internet)? Tell me they didn't commit a crime.

Read the IMs and e-mails.

Remember, in DC the age of consent is 16. Show me where he solicited a minor.

I'll quote Dr. Pournelle one more time:

''It is legal for older men to seduce 16 year old boys in DC. I may think that needs changing, but I weary of those who approve of that situation suddenly saying that they need to protect the children.''

What does "so far" mean or imply?
Nov 3, 2006 1:22AM PST

How does it NOT imply that an indictment is imminent or at least possible? It does not mean no indictment is expected.

"crime issue" is YOUR term, not mine. I think it has something to do with committing a crime? Maybe?

No more woof tickets today, ward-heeler.

"is the issue of a possible crime" better? insert that if I had been to vague.

I do not know what "woof tickets" are. I did google, but knowing your feelings about pbs, I am not sure if the following is what you meant:

Hardly...
Nov 3, 2006 10:55PM PST

A lot more ink was spilled on the Foley thing but in final analysis what was it about? Not much. No crime was committed. He was a sleaze and he resigned. End of story.

Democrats tried to inflate it into something it was not and made all kinds of bogus charges.

Kerry got his due comeuppance, as he should have. Even Democrats said so.

Isn't one of Ms Coulter's big rhetorical distinctives a tendency to claim intellectual superiority over her intellectually and factually challenged opponents?

Under the circumstances, she loses considerable credibility if she can't even figure out where her correct polling place is.

It may well be that 'snowbirds' who vote both in Florida and in the Northeast should be prosecuted, but I fail to see how that has any bearing whatever on the charge against Ms Coulter.

I do wonder, though, if there is something about prominent political types that keeps them from knowing where they live. **** Cheney didn't seem to know whether he really lived in Wyoming or in Texas back when Mr. Bush first asked him to be the VP candidate. Senator Dole hasn't actually lived in NC for many years as best I can tell. It isn't limited to Republicans, either. IIRC, a previous Democratic senator for the state of NY (a Kennedy I think) ran for office before he actually lived there.

The main question I asked was Isn't one of Ms Coulter's big rhetorical distinctives a tendency to claim intellectual superiority over her intellectually and factually challenged opponents?. I've read enough of Ms Coulter's stuff that I'm pretty sure my observation is spot on.

Beyond that, what were you saying 'No' to?

Elizabeth Dole is Senator from NC, elected
Nov 3, 2006 10:14PM PST

in 2002.

But there was some slight question (sorry don't remember all the details) about residency requirements when she ran.

Seems it was something about "living" at her mother's address?

Not sure if Bob Dole's current legal address is NC or not. Senator Dole currently serves as Special Counsel in the Washington, DC office of Alston & Bird where he focuses his practice on international and domestic legislative, policy and regulatory affairs as well as on healthcare policy and related matters.

will ann coulter put her 'money where her mouth is' and run for office to correct her perceived notion of what is wrong in america?

will ann coulter ever be elected to represent any citizen of the usa?

you either make history or collect it. colter is a collector of her version of history. colter lives very well on the money she collects from other collectors.
