So it would be okay...
Nov 2, 2006 11:36PM PST

for her to be punished in excess of what a crack dealer or driveby shooter would get? And it's okay to splash accusations of a felony all over the press for what amounts to a technical violation even if she did it? NO political motive there!

No one said she should be let off IF she is guilty. But if something like this was happening in a third world dictatorship or an American black neighborhood every "Human Rights" advocacy group would be all over it.

Aren't you guys always complaining about "voter suppression"?

I guess she should just shut up, huh.

It's political because ...
Nov 3, 2006 12:01AM PST

they are making a big deal out of it in the media. That is why Coulter's attorneys are angry about it. It does not warrant the attention except for the fact that it is Coulter.

Wake up!

We are also the party of applying laws equally to everyone. Palm Beach County is 0 for 2 on that count.

Election time diversion because Negron might just win Foley's seat after all and the Foley trick backfired then fizzled? Who knows.

Nov 2, 2006 11:55AM PST

Alleluia!

As far as I have seen from this whole affair... all the state of Florida is asking is for Coulter to confirm an address. If she voted at the wrong location, then I am sure it was not purposeful (or would be surprised if it was).

Coulter and/or her lawyer have reportedly had 3 state notices sent to them to rectify her status. It is the law and she should take the time to straighten things out.

Simple as that.

And last I checked ...

Simple as that.

Nov 2, 2006 1:18AM PST

and the fact that "known snowbirds" from New York haven't been investigated and charged plus the fact that Anderson informen the media and refuses to an in-person confrontation tends to lend credence to the idea that this is designed to influence the election.

In addition, if Anderson's office "generally reviews such cases, then turns them over to local authorities for a full investigation that could result in an arrest if intent is proven" there would be no incentive to co-operate since he turns what he reviews ofer to "local authorities" anyway for their investigation to make any actual determination.

In short, a null story.

Nov 2, 2006 11:46AM PST

I do not have the exact number of times foley was discussed this week on fox news. it started today as far as I know. some other guy has been discussed I believe a few more times since monday. I believe the only person fox news has not asked about kerry is foley. I might be expanding my viewpoint but hey it is election time.

annie was on hannity & colmes tonight. did they ask her about this. no, no, no. she and the 'great one'(mark levin was her co guest, why fnc calls him that I do not know)discussed kerry. fox which prides itself on its fair and balanced investigative journalism did not ask her any questions about her current event.

they apparently did not want to distract from the current distraction before the election.

mark, it is true I only write them, not read them. saves time.

Mark Levin is "the great one"
Nov 2, 2006 10:01PM PST

Listen to 770 WABC Radio 6-8pm weekdays and you might learn something. You can even call in on the lib line to contribute! Warning, though, you'll have to speak in complete sentences and not devolve into gibberish.

Kerry is NOT a distraction. He WAS after all, your party's candidate for President the last time around, and was speaking on the campaign trail when he tripped up and let his real feelings about the troops out. Oh, I know, he thought he was really just using them as a political prop to smear our President, (that idiot he lost to), but sometimes this sort of thing backfires.

Foley had already been pushed (thankfully and rightly) from the headlines long ago. The amount of time that ALL news outlets spent on that non-story of a non-crime for a relatively obscure House member still boggles the mind.

to be able to speak gibberish
Nov 2, 2006 10:41PM PST

you have to understand it. what you consider enlightening blather, I consider gibberish. different strokes for different folks.

did you learn levin was the great one from reading the post you replied to? re: ann coulter's co-guest.

I belong to no political party. I have always voted for who I think is best. I voted, in 68, for the most notorious republican president in the past 50 years. I did not repeat that in 1972. not because of the events leading to watergate(that was not a plus) but his lies about how he would handle the war in viet nam.

apparently something changed kerry in viet nam. he did volunteer and serve honorably. maybe he felt he was lied to about why we were in se asia. I know I did.

and a word of caution: never use a word that has more than one meaning: are we stuck in iraq or will you be stuck in iraq. there is a difference.

so far foley has not been indicted. the crime issue has not been addressed by the legal system only by public opinion.

Nov 2, 2006 10:49PM PST

Check out marklevinfan.com. The nick came from his friends at WABC radio. He can be abrasive, but the man is smart and knowledgeable. You would like him as his research is some of the best around and he often finds things nobody else has dug up. You may not like what he finds, but I know you are always interested in learning all of the facts.

Foley is such a non-issue.

I responded to your advisory
Nov 2, 2006 11:44PM PST

and went to the site. I only saw forum entries discussing his views.

I wanted to see what he said. I googled 'mark levin'.I noticed he was president of the landmark legal foundation and his bio mentioned he blogs for national review online. both sites are now bookmarked. I will view them later.

at nat review I found this: a manchurian candidate?

no
Nov 3, 2006 12:21AM PST

not upset, foley is following the kerry plan: stay out of sight. I never said that foley should be given more coverage at this time.

major blunder is obvious, not my party, did vote for kerry instead of bush. I have stated my reasons why. I would never vote third party or not vote(which I consider being lazy and a worthless political statement) in tight elections.

and for edh: I am not now or have ever been a member of a political party. I do know how to party.
