How can I hide images and videos on my Android phone without any app lock?

Doing so without an app to lock them up would be model dependent and then may have us opening a shell to issue commands on a command line. I only know 2 other folk that can pull that off. Are you Shelly or Dani? If not, you'll want an app.

That failed since ES File Explorer is an APP!

The closest answer I read there was on the Samsung but the question was broader to include "Android".
