Question

Android Micro SD card photos and videos

Mar 31, 2014 1:49PM PDT

I am sorry to interrupt your guys. But, I need your suggestions. There are lots of photos and videos that have been held on the Micro SD card of my Android phone. However, recently, I have got a "memory card raw error" and formatted this card for continuous use. But, I also want to get my lost photos and videos back. If I cannot regain all of them, part of them is all right! Do you have any suggestion for me? How can I rescue these photos and videos?

Answer
Since you formatted it, continued to use it

It's likely you overwrote some or many of the files. Recovery is done prior to formatting and using the card so getting the order wrong means you could try http://www.drivesavers.com If you hadn't formatted we have a sticky post about what to try in the CNET Storage forum.

Help restore card videos and photos back.

The RAW file system problem can be caused by many elements, such as virus infection, card damage and even file system problems, etc. But, there is also no need to be depressed. You also have chances to rescue your card photos and videos back.

Do not write or format this Micro SD card in case of card data loss.

And then, download a card data recovery tool to restore all your wanted photos back, like: 4Card Recovery, iCare Data Recovery Free and Recuva, etc.

And then, save and back up all restored photos on another drive or card in case of further data loss.

At last, format this Micro SD card to restore its functional use.

Note: Always remember to save all card data on different drives or storage devices in the future.

In your case, a card data recovery tool do helps. So, do not format or overwrite this card before data recovery.
And then, search for a data recovery tool to rescue all your inaccessible card data back. Have any suggestion? If you really do not have any idea about data recovery stuff, you can directly try 4Card Recovery that has ever successfully restored the data of my friend back from his mistakenly formatted phone SD card.
It can be your good chance.
Note: Next time, save all important card data on different drives or places.

4Card is spammed a lot.

So much so that we clean it off the forums too often. This didn't help my view and ranking of said title.

Try RECUVA as no one spams it but it gets great marks.

photo and video recovery

Hi,

In your case, chances of recovering your important photos and videos might be less since you've already reformatted the disk and used it continually. Thus, the continued usage already overwrites the files you want to recover. Might have a chance of getting those files if you consult a professional data recovery service such like WeRecoverData, as they have sophisticated facilities to recover your important photos and videos from your reformatted and overwritten drive. That is if you still want those files badly.
