You call Samsung or consider they may never and see if XDA Forums has a rootkit for you.

Still not available in the US with Verizon

Could take many months to happen, if at all. I am running 6.01 currently on my Galaxy S7 Edge phone and no indication when 7.0 might become available for me. Don't bother contacting Samsung as they will say it is up to the carrier to decide when the update will be sent.

I have a Note Pro tablet that is running 5.02 and not branded with any cellular carrier. Just got the update from 5.01 to 5.02 earlier this week.

As mentioned by R.Proffitt, you can root your phone with Android 7.0 but remember that it would be at your own risk. If you plan to do so, back up the phone first.

I forgot to mention something.

Some get caught up in "I must have the latest Android OS" thought train.

Here I found this to be counterproductive on some hardware. Another effect I found were apps often weren't ready for the newest OS so once in a while you get to experience the hellish bug that no one in the world has seen.

If you are just one version old on Android OS. Run it. Wait for the OS to arrive or not.
