From The Economist.
"An arms race of a different magnitude raged between India and Pakistan. Both sides’ diplomats charged the other with escalating a game of Knock Down Ginger. India accused a crack Pakistani unit of ringing the doorbell of its deputy commissioner in Islamabad at 3am, then running away. Two days later, reportedly, Pakistan retaliated in kind."
So, I won't worry so much next time I hear of a "crack army unit" deploying.

Maybe our resident Brit, Dafydd, can tell us about the name. Ginger? Or is it different in Wales?

Yes Doug.

"Knock Down Ginger" is known in Wales as knocking someones door and running away. Unfortunately, it's also a slight, (Ginger) for someone who prefers the same sex. "He's a bit light on his feet" is another local one.
Dafydd.

The editors have a great, understated, sense of humor, so this could be a joke post. However, they take their magazine and its news very seriously, so I'm guessing not. It's still about the strangest thing I've seen on the 'net, and I've seen Breitbart. Happy
The sad part is how different it is from all other India vs. Pakistan news. Sad
