I've found nothing in the scriptures that negates self defense needed past the point of insults. A soft answer may turn away wrath, but when it doesn't, it must be dealt with appropriately. Even Jesus explained it in several ways, such as "if a good man knows the hour a theif will come, he will NOT allow his house to be broken into", and " obey those in authority, they bear not the sword in vain", and some others that show Jesus respected the use of force when necessary, so long as it was justified.

it translates as "on earth, peace to men of good will" (or slight variations thereof). I don't know what that means you're supposed to do to those who are not of good will but I doubt it suggests that a punch to the gut is necessarily justified.

What [one] is supposed to do to those not of good will is nothing; that gets done at Armageddon by the only one with the right to do so. That's why it's called "good news". Happy

How in the world... this is crazy! I wonder what happened to the prisoner. So glad to hear that the officers are getting recovering. Hope they don't have any long time effects on their body / head.
