Question

analogue rca phono socket fault

Mar 23, 2015 8:22AM PDT

Can someone please help me with an explanation for why Samsung would put RCA Phono sockets on the UE48H6700 and then claim that they are not compatible for connecting a stereo amplifier for audio out to external speakers? I'm totally baffled! I have tried connecting my NAD C326BEE amplifier using these sockets but the telly does not recognise it? The same set up works perfectly on another LCD telly from Samsung which has similar sockets.

Thanks Bob. I did already figure out connecting via the Headphone socket, however I'm not keen on the set up. Samsung have suggested using an audio converter for optical to phono which I'm going to try.... with reservation.
Thanks for your input.

I'd skip that convertor.

Many won't convert 5.1 right and you want stereo so with the headphone jack, you're done.
