OTA channels from your outdoor antenna will not be affected by cable or satellite company disputes; the signal will always be there. Not sure how the Dish boxes passes the OTA signal, but there's a chance you may need to slightly change the settings to pass the primary along with the secondary.
If you needed to use the analog-to-digital converters, you would need to have one for each TV since the channels are selected through the converter.
We have 3 analog tv's and are currently using Dish sat. service. We have two of their set top boxes, one serving a single tv and the other is a dual box for the other two sets. We get our primary local channels, 3,5, and 10, through Dish but each box has an inside antenna connected to it so we can get the secondary local channels, 3.1, 3.2, 5.2 and so forth.
We have just put up an outside antenna to boost our signal. It is a HGTV antenna and my question is this. If we hook the ant. up to the Dish boxes and they lose the local channel signals because of a company dispute like what is happening between them and CBS right now, will we still lose the signal or will their boxes still send the signals to our tv's.
I have one of those analog to digital set top boxes that was gotten when the broadcast companies switched over in 2009 but have never used it. If I have to use it will one box service all three tv's or do I have to have a box for each tv.
