Analog to DVD

Dec 18, 2004 6:04AM PST

I am looking to convert my old analog video from my VCR and old camcorder to DVD. I want to transfer the media to my laptop via USB 2.0 and then edit them. What is the best way to transfer the video to my computer? The reviews seem to indicate that Pinnacle is not very good. Thanks.

There are outboard devices that do this. As I recall, Dazzle

Analog to DVD

This is a project that is currently taken up my retirement time and the end result is giving family and friends a lot of pleasure. Over the past years, we all have collected many home videos (VHS) of holidays, parties, children growing up etc. and with the programs available today, we can turn them into movies that sometimes can bring a tear to your eye.

I swear by Pinnacle Studio 9 and Ulead Video Studio 8. In the past year I have produced 275 movies from my dig.camcorder and my VHS /Analog camcorder tapes to DVD. Using Dazzle DVC 80 to transfer Analog to digital, I Edit, Make Movie and burn to DVD with Pinnacle, or Ulead VideoStudio 8.

Have you had any experience with taking the reel format, such as super 8, from the old style cameras and putting them onto vhs format?
