Question

An old Samsung LN-R408D TV

Aug 14, 2017 10:51AM PDT

Is there anyone familiar with the innards of a Samsung LN-R408D?
I just bought a tuner board and a video (Main) motherboard. There are two black, round cables that connect to two circuit boards together. I tried to remove them from my TV, but they won't move. Does anyone know how to remove them, I don't want to force them because I'm afraid of breaking one or both.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Check at www.samsungparts.com for the service manual on your exact model.

The complete model is LNR408DX/XAA, and there is no service manual available for it. Too old.

Shopjimmy shows the main board and tuner are one part.

Is this marked anything like Samsung BN91-00826F (BN41-00567E) Main Board for LNR408DX/XAA

The picture shown is what I have, but on my old television those 2 cables won't come off. How would they be held on?

Sorry if I was unclear.

These two parts are not to be separated. My bet is there are matched components and you replace the boards as a set.

Since there is no service manual (I didn't check for you) I can only write from experience on this.

The two circuit boards are sold separately without the cables.

Not at shopjimmy.

I guess you'll have to ask the folk that sold that. My bet is they are soldered on. As you are a TV tech, I may forget that folk dive into areas like this without a solder iron or find parts that are well, different than what the usual sources sell.
