Resolved Question

An Alternative to Viber Out(dated) ??

Apr 16, 2014 3:47PM PDT

Is there any reliable and cost-effective International calling app which integrates well with Android devices ? I recently switched from Skype to Viber Out .Though the unit call rate of Viber out is substantially cheaper than Skype the call quality has been disappointing marked with static, muted pauses and too many jitters. I am looking for an alternative which is both cost-effective and does not compromise on quality .Any suggestion?

Before you call an app outdated lets admit that voip calling was in the firstplace never meant to be crystal clear without any glitch since the way the individual voice packets are received explains the latency ,jitters and other issues (I presume you are familiar with the technology). If you are looking for alternatives then I would suggest you look for apps which provide economical rates to the country you would be calling ,integrates well with your device and offers decent sound quality over 3G/WiFi.I did my research and narrowed down on a relatively new app Global Call to call Philippines and Vietnam .It offers attractive unit rates and luckily so far there hasn't been any issues with call quality as well.

The rates of Global Call are very low, but if you really want to cheapest rates try YunGO mobile app. With YunGO you can call to India mobile and landline at $0.01 per minute. You can download it from https://yun-go.com website, also it is available both in Google Play and App Store
