The more I tried the more I couldn't tell the difference. Then Tomshardware had to go and ruin it all.

Greetings:
I have desktop with Asus xonar dx xd... and would like to hook good speakers with clear detaild sound (loudness is not my goal), with clear highs and mids ,not necessarily huge bass....
music is my concern ,neither movies or games etc.... ,also I'm not into more than 2.1 systems ..my room is small...
the options available to me : Genius 2.0 SP-H500A , Genius Sw 2.1 355 , Genius Sw 2.1 800 ,Logitech Z313 ..
a friend told me that ,though the bass in such systems is better than any of those old speakers as the Aiwa speakers SX-R100 ,still the satellites of such systems ,won't get the fine highs and mids those stereo speakers provides....
if that is true ,then in order to hook those speakers Aiwa speakers SX-R100 (they are on sale used for good price) to my PC ,I need either amplifier or subwoofer, isn't it? my questions are:
1- which is better getting small amplifier ,or subwoofer ?
2- getting the subwoofer for me is cheaper, as I can get the subwoofer of Genius Sw 2.1 800 and connect it to the aiwa speakers.
3- should the output of the subwoofer and the output of the speakers be the same?
eg; SX-R100 is 20 watts,and the Genius Sw 2.1 800 20 watts too....
or that makes no difference? what if I bought the Genius Sw S2.1 200 that has 6watts ,to be with the 20 watts aiwa SX-R100 ? will they work? would the sound be different?
I need your advice....
thanx in advance.
