Question

AMD Software

I have some bits of SW on my Win 7 system whose origins I don't know. One is AMD Catalyst Installaton Manager. What does in do? I seem to remember uninstalling it and all my screen went a bit strange in appearance. I restored it PDQ.

It's the graphics driver system.

It's the graphics driver and also a utility package that allows for playing with video settings.

The driver you need, the 'utility package' you might not need to keep active.
