Question

AMD Build - PC crashing while playing online

Aug 10, 2019 8:26AM PDT

Hello CNET!

I'm running out of ideas to troubleshoot this issue and I was hoping you might be able to help me.
My PC crashes at times, only when playing online games (like Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch or Overcooked 2). The machine is still running, but the screen(s) suddenly become grey or blue (light blue, not BSOD). The audio stops and the fans start running faster.  I have to hard reboot by pressing the power button on the tower.

The event viewer doesn't help much, all it says that seems relevant to me is that "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first".

My drivers are updated as far as I'm aware.

Here's my rig:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight Core CPU (3.7GHz-4.35GHz/20MB CACHE/AM4)
Motherboard: ASUS® PRIME B450M-A (DDR4, USB 3.1, 6Gb/s) - RGB Ready!
RAM: 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2933MHz ~ (2 x 8GB)
Graphics Card : Gigabyte Radeon RX Vega 64
Storage Drive: 1TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA SATA-III 3.5" HDD, 6GB/s, 7200RPM, 64MB CACHE
M.2 SSD Drive: 250GB SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 3400MB/R, 1500MB/W)
Power Supply: CORSAIR 750W TXm SERIES™ SEMI-MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD,
Processor Cooling: Noctua NH-U14S Ultra Quiet Performance CPU Cooler
OS: Windows 10 Home

Let me know if you have any idea!
Thanks in advance.
P.
