AMD Athlon 64 x 2 Processors

Aug 25, 2010 9:55AM PDT

I have read articles mentioning upgrading from 32 to 64 and that some programs don't work on 64. What exactly does this mean? What are 32 and 64? If I have the above processors, what does it mean? I apolgize for not knowing this. Thanks so much, Clorey

Almost all processors are 64-bit nowadays. They run 32-bit and 64-bit OS'es. A 64-bit version of Windows 7 might be picky about drivers and programs it runs. But that has nothing to do with the hardware of the processor.
