AMD ATHLON 2400 xp CPU shows at boot up its a 1900

When i boot up my pc it show that my AMD ATHLON 2400 xp CPU is a 1900xp !

Can anyone give me any suggestions on why this is doing it and how to fix.

Usually not a Windows XP issue.

You may have an old bios version, jumpers set wrong, slower than you should memory or the bios set incorrectly.

It's a fairly newish CPU so I'd call it in and let them fix it.

Try adjusting the FSB in the Bios....

to 133mhz from 100mhz. This will usually set it proper.
