I wouldn't get either processor either but I'm looking for the cheapest new laptop I can find for a friend and found two for $529 with these two processors.

If you need battery life, get the Celeron M

If you need performance, get the Sempron.

I would get the Sempron simply because it is fast. I've used it and I like it.

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
