Amazon.com PRIME Conundrum & Obstruction

Mar 30, 2017 10:32AM PDT

As a avid print book reader/buyer, and Amazon.com Prime member 2-years on, I've been locked into automatic Kindle display mode of All books---regular search, Today's Deals, etc. by Amazon.com website configurations. I do not own a Kindle Reader, nor have I ever purchased or rented a Kindle book or item. The only PRIME service I use IS 2-day or next-day shipping. Early on, and continuously, I notify both PRIME and General Customer Service U.S. agents re: this matter. Not one person via numerous telephone conversations and e-mails has provided an explanation for such a rigged system!?! At my request, notes are taken and passed on to supervisors for action. Obviously, my suggestions never reach the corporate decision-makers!
This purposeful corporate restricted-limited manipulation and categorization of one's freedom of navigation is unacceptable.

Have any CNET readers encountered same on Amazon.com?
Moreover, has anyone engaged corporate decision-makers re:
this, or similar I.T. circumventions? Specific suggestions, recommendations...? Perhaps CNET writers should take interest
and investigate, eh?

For me it's just the way things work.

Retailers are free to move items around the store as they please.

That is, if the food store wants to push a product they move it to the front of the store and no one cries foul. Here, you feel this is a travesty.

Sorry but I have to disagree. It's simply a store and they are free to move things around and promote products as they see fit.

Make sure you know your username and password to access Amazon first. Open your browser but dont' visit Amazon ATT. You then remove all Amazon related cookies in your browser. Connect to Amazon and see if the same thing happens. If not, then sign back in and see if it happens. If after that it happens again, then only Amazon can correct/change it for you.
