Amazon.com or walmart.com warranty.....plus camcorder ?'s

Dec 13, 2005 4:45AM PST

Hi all,

I'm looking to purchase my first camcorder and I think I've found the best prices at amazon.com and walmart.com. Has anyone purchased their extended warranties? And, more importantly, has anyone had to make a claim on one of the warranties?

I'll mainly be filming dog agility, and I have a digital camera, so stills aren't super important. I've been looking, and in my price range, I've got these options:

Sony DCR HC21
Sony DCR HC32
Panasonic PV-GS35

Is the DCR HC32 worth $100 more than the HC21 if I don't care about stills? And is the Panasonic the best choice?

Thanks!
Michele
