1. Setup the router per our Networking forum suggestions (WPA security, not much else.)
2. Take grif's advice for software scans at http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6122_102-0.html?threadID=328220&tag=forums06;posts#2968150
We have 4 pc's, three are connected by a wireless router.
Lately when we try to get onto facebook, using the wireless pc's, it spontaneously redirects us to myspace login, or sometimes it redirects me to the following myspace profile http://www.myspace.com/home.php the status for this profile says "facebook transition. in progressMood: cynical"
My son's (the other wireless conection) gets the following message using Chrome....
"this is probably not the site you are looking for....you are trying to reach a server identifying itself as a2r48.e.akamai.net this maybe caused by misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake version of facebook.com and you should not procede."
I'm only having this problem on the 3 pc's that are hooked up wirelessly....the main pc isn't having this problem at all. This happens very randomly.
No idea where to turn with this problem, and figured I'd ask you guys to see if y'all had any ideas of what is going on??
