Am I alone here..............

by Del McMullen / June 24, 2004 4:59 AM PDT

I have attempted to become informed by watching US House activites on
CSPAN, and US Senate activites on CSPAN2, and it has become so
UNinfomative that I have given up.

They ("both sides of the Isle !!!") spend far too much time chastising the
"other side" with what happened in previous years, and equally too much
time with electronic votes on "amendments to amendments", (designed
only to stall meaningful activity), or "quorum calls", (again a delaying tactic),
and far too little time explaining or debating the original bill/resolution before them.

Sometimes I wonder why this bunch of clowns fail to just wear their "makeup"
and be done with it. At least it would complete the picture.

That's when they show up at all, and if they do it's only when they're awake.

Maybe it's best this way?

Someone posted here awhile back that the best government was one where the President and Congress were of opposing parties. That way nothing gets done.

I've said before and I'll say it again, I think it's better if neither side controls all 3 - Senate, House, and White House.

Now we may disagree on who should control 2 Wink
