At the low end of the GPU spectrum. Better than most GMA solutions but nothing I'd consider much better than a GMA like the Intel 4500MHD (which we have aplenty at office and home.)
Using http://www.tabletpc2.com/Compare.htm as a launch point we find Dell, Fujitsu are names you could research.
Bob
Been wanting to replace my monster of a Dell 17" Laptop and Pda combo with a single, much smaller, portable machine.
I've been watching Hp's Tx2z since the first of the year and had been hoping for someone to come out with an alternative by Christmas but I still haven't seen one with a comparable graphics card. Not that I don't think that I would like the Tx2z because it seems to meet all of my requirements.
If anyone knows of anything, I would appreciate it.
I have looked at things like the Eeepc. Mostly convertibles.
Requirements:
Really portable: Something that does not require a desk. Preferably a convertible tablet.
Powerful enough to run Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and run tethered to a digital camera. I do some Photo art and understand that the digitizer doesn't support Adobe products and don't mind using one of the programs that do.
Powerful enough to run some games. Mostly older games though. I'd like to be able to plink at World of Warcraft, Sims, Age of Empires and Assasins Creed etc. I wouldn't mind at all being able to play newer stuff (like Batman and Deadspace) even at reduced settings but I understand that there are limitations.
Playing Dvds. Streaming Hulu, Netflix. Internet Browsing. I would like to get at least 2 hours min battery life.
