It's ok though, I bought a PCI video card with TV out and an audio cable with left and right RCA jacks on one side and a 3mm to hook into the soundcard on the other side.
I poked a hole in the wall, fed the S-video and Audio cables through, hooked the s-video to the TV and the Audio cable to my receivers Aux input.
Now I can see and hear my Media Center on my Home theater system. I love it.
All and all this was pretty easy
I really don't want to spend 200 on an extender, when the computer is just two feet away from the entertainment system.
I'd like to view slide shows and play my music on the home theater system from my Media Center 2005 computer.
How can I hardwire audio and video from the computer (out), to the TV (in)? I have a tv tuner card, but it only has INPUTS. Oh by the way, I'm cheap (maybe a better word is thrifty).
