Alternative to Laptop for storage

My camera has a 2gb SD card.
On my last trip I carried a laptop, and each time the SD card is full, I simply transfer the data to the laptop via usb. And then I can re-use the SD card.

On my upcoming trip, I'd rather not take the laptop along, mainly because of the weight, and the chance of it getting stolen.

My question is, what technology is out there with at least 20gb storage, that can allow me to transfer data from an SD card?

transfer anything from the flash memory directly to any online storage facility because few flash memory chips have Internet Connectivity.

He didn't want to have to take a computer along with him.

I would think the simplest method for you would be to have several SD flash cards. If possible, will you camera accept larger than 2gb? can it be updated? if so, even larger SD is available. Check photo websites for options.

Yours is the exact solution I was looking for. A small compact device that can directly store data from an sd card.
The 120gb for $140 if perfect.

Yours is a good idea too that I could use when conditions are right. However, if my sd card fills up in the middle of an excursion, I'd have to wait till I return to the hotel. Furthermore, it assumes I'd have broadband Internet access to upload GB of data, which is often not true when travelling.

Having spare sd cards on hand will work too.

Thanks to you all for your answers.
