ANY of Josh Earnest's press statements over the last four years and his predecessor? Or even the lies told to Congress by BO's cabinet? Or even BO's lies during his State of the Union addresses or televised 'rah-rah' lies even up to the day before he flew off in the helicopter? Like you have said before....you can't handle the truth, JP.

So where do you get your "facts"?

what you just posted, you could have done the same post over and over during BO's terms, JP. Somehow this type of attitude only shows up when we have a Republican in charge though.....the same thing happened during GWB and Reagan, but Carter, Clinton, and BO all got 'get out of jail free' passes every time THEIR egos wanted different results. How many 'journalists' ever asked any of THEM if they would 'always tell the truth'? I don't think you'll find any, and they only thing you find in the media this morning is the 'numbers' issues rather than any of the TRUTHS that Spicer actually threw in their faces over their coverage of Trump for the last 18 months, the treatment he got during the period between the Primary and the General, the treatment he got AFTER the election in November up to the inauguration,, AND all the bad treatments he's gotten on inauguration day and since.....and he's only been in office for four DAYS. Compare the treatment BO got for the identical periods of time and you'll understand why the media isn't to be believed anymore. I don't see it getting any better even as Trump succeeds with his agendas....I only see the treatment getting worse because none of them will give him credit for any of it; the left can't stand success because it doesn't fit THEIR agenda, which is why even when they are failing, they brag about how good it is because of THEIR leader and the media tells it the same way. The negativity will continue....and the pushback will, too.

My point: if one side does wrong, then apologizes, then the other side proceeds as if there had been NO apology, where does "healing" take place?

Unless ... foreigners from the North WANT the US to collapse so they can ... No, that's unthinkable! If so, we'd have to replace our bowling alleys with curling rinks. In a clean sweep, perhaps. ("curling ... clean sweep"! Woo-hoo!) [Gotta add smiley so no one can take offense.] Happy

Because THAT 'journalist' ONLY apologized to his "colleagues" and the 'other side' didn't get the apology to the President OR the millions of PEOPLE who read the LIE.

There are apologies and then there are apologies, dr. How many times have you seen a story in the printed newspaper on the front page, but a retraction or 'apology' shows up days later buried on page 40 somewhere where it will rarely be seen? How many of those 'colleagues' actually reported the facts as a 'news alert' giving it the same headlines that the original LIE was reported?

A Note to Our Readers
Nancy Gibbs
Jan 24, 2017

On the evening of January 20, TIME White House correspondent Zeke Miller incorrectly reported that the bust of Martin Luther King Jr. had been removed from the Oval Office. Zeke quickly issued a correction. In the hours that followed, he sent multiple emails and tweets taking responsibility for his mistake, and apologized in person, on email and on Twitter. During further conversations over the weekend, he asked a White House advisor to pass along his apology to the president as well.

AND

Here ya' go...spread the word

Nancy Gibbs, the editor of Time magazine, issued an apology on Tuesday for an error that the Trump administration has repeatedly used to criticize the press in the last week.

In doing so, she pushed back against claims from the administration that the magazine made a deliberate error when reporter Zeke Miller incorrectly reported that the White House had removed a bust of civil rights hero Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Oval Office.

READ...TONI>>>OPEN YOUR EYES and READ...

YES...It does...

Two minutes later Zeke emailed a correction to a large list of White House reporters. “The MLK bust remains in the Oval Office in addition to the Churchill bust per a WH aide. It was apparently obscured by a door and an agent earlier. My sincerest apologies.” He tweeted a correction as well. A TIME story that included the error was corrected, and for the next several hours, Zeke worked to alert colleagues of the mistake. He sent out several emails to reporters and eight tweets, including, at 8:41 p.m.“Tweeting again: wh aide confirms the MLK bust is still there. I looked for it in the oval 2x & didn't see it. My apologies to my colleagues.” At 8:46 p.m., Press Secretary Sean Spicer retweeted that message with the words “Apology accepted.” To that, Zeke replied: “This is on me, not my colleagues. I've been doing everything I can to fix my error. My apologies.”

Jan 25, 2017 9:48AM PST

underlined statement made five minutes after Zeke posted his apology to his COLLEAGUES. It was a post that Spicer saw, but it was NOT an apology to the PEOPLE nor was it an apology to the President. Those COLLEAGUES, of which there were over 3000 had been retweeting and posting the 'news story' all over the place of Zeke's ORIGINAL tweet and they HADN'T apologized.

Spin it any way you want, but the FACTS are THERE if you bother to actually LOOK at them.

Send him YOUR email address...I'm sure he'll send you an apology...in the meantime...re-read my post and accept HIS apology FROM me.

RE:nor was it an apology to the President.

At 8:46 p.m., Press Secretary Sean Spicer retweeted that message with the words “Apology accepted.”

I've never tweeted, but I think when someone retweets something, I believe that indicates they've received/seen some "tweet"..a tweet with an apology and an admission of making an incorrect statement.

He sent 8 tweets...TWEETS?...YOU know what they are don't you?...THAT's how you send apologies to/communicate with the POTUS....Then POTUS sends his flunkie (Sean Spicer) out and HE says the words POTUS has never said...such as... I'm Sorry,.... I was wrong and/or I accept your apology.

Finally something we agree on....

Spin it any way you want, but the FACTS are THERE if you bother to actually LOOK at them.

Toni, print media typically have a page dedicated to error

reporting and correcting. Often page 2 of a newspaper e.g., usually at the bottom, in a box, in fine print. The timing is the next edition after discovery. Even if every publisher is an EvilGodlessCommie there are reasons why he won't want errors of any kind.
Pulitzer and Hearst are exceptions; both dead.

again. Follow the link up from my post to "trust me?" and you'll see a reference to the well-known crowd size controversy. Nothing about MLK, who doesn't interest me anyway. (Wrong religion.)
Now, do you have a reply to what I DID post?

- Collapse -
Not really, because
Jan 25, 2017 9:58AM PST

most people don't actually give a crap about the size of the crowd...mainly before for the first time, the area had funneled areas that had to be gone through to get to the mall plus unheard of security because of all of the threats that had been made regarding mass rioting they were expecting for Trump's, which slowed down the 2-1/2 hour time frame available to get through it all. AND the MEDIA is the one that decided to make the 'size of the crowd' the issue because THEY reported on it before anybody else had said anything at all. Did you ever consider the fact that many DIDN'T show up because they feared for their personal safety so they VIEWED it on TV on various channels, including cable, and on the INTERNET in various forms, all over the WORLD? Spicer said, during that very first statement that more people VIEWED this inauguration in person and otherwise than any other inauguration, and he was right....but was called a liar by the media over and over again.

Do you agree that the media is and has been 'out to get Trump' in ANY way they possibly can, even to the point of disparaging his son AND his wife now? Do you agree that the next four years will be totally in the tank for liberals jumping on ANY little thing they can pick up on regarding policy or interviews, even if it's NOT Trump? Do you agree that NONE of this would be happening if hilLIARy had been elected? Do you agree that they would be making excuses for her every single day and cheering every word uttered or every policy/regulation/EO she would create, even if it's to the detriment of this country and its people, just as BO did?

Jan 24, 2017 10:56AM PST

Spicer, yesterday, was asked by a journalist about the people 'in the front row' at the CIA not being 'real agents'....there were at least three interruptions, including during other journalists' questions, while staffers checked on that story, and it was confirmed that they were all real agents, including the three out of nearly 400 who were in attendance that the journalist was originally questioning.

RE: about the people 'in the front row'
Jan 24, 2017 11:59AM PST

At a press conference Monday afternoon, Spicer dismissed the report as not “accurate at all”

“Honestly, I don’t have a seating chart,” he said. “I think we had a very small footprint going over. I don’t know exactly who went over. I don’t know, maybe 10 people at most.”

Not accurate at all?...they weren't in the front row?

As I said....when he made
Jan 25, 2017 6:14AM PST

that first stated reply, he didn't know if any were in the front row as the reporter asked, but his people in THAT room went and checked and three times the answer given after that point was that NO Trump people were in the front row as 'accused' as being Trump's 'cheering section'.

Jan 24, 2017 9:24AM PST

One that I recall had to do with a surprise locker inspection in a public High School. Students had to stand by their lockers while they were opened with police in attendance. It was a search for drugs and/or weapons. One media outlet reported that 'many parents were outraged'. Another reported that 'most parents supported the search. The fact is that both reports were correct in what they said but the messages sent were completely different. Yup...happens a lot and for a long time.

Why did you change from comparing "outrage" to comparing "support".?..Apples and oranges?

NO!!!..."many" does NOT mean "most"...

You just proved my argument by changing from "outrage" to "support".

Not in MY world.

9% of something is "many"?

the remaining 91% of something is a whole bunch, way more than a majority?

I call that a drubbing...

How much is 3 million MORE votes than the person that won?

A loss? yes, weird isn't it?...

IF you offered to "share something equally" with me I'd be cautious, very, very cautious.
