1.) TechTracker does not automatically detect update installations; it must run a system scan to update its results. Thus, if you haven't already, try running the TechTracker scan (which can be set to automatically run every XX days) to ensure you're receiving the latest results.
2.) Note that some programs do not always update themselves properly, leaving traces of the previous version behind. TechTracker may detect these traces and report an outdated version, even if you already updated. In this case, you can report the issue via your results page, which will alert the TechTracker team to the need to update the way that particular program's version is determined in a future TechTracker update.
Hope this helps,
John
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
TT is telling me that Auperantispyware needs to be updated, but another program I use already told me that and I updated the program as a result. Now, I did not use TT link to update the program, could that be the issue?
I know for a fact the program is updated and even after multiple reboots of my PC and started and stopping TT, it still tells me the program needs to be updated.
This bothers me because it makes me lose some confidence in the TT program.
Any help?
Thanks!
