Alot of microphone problems

Hi i have alot of microphone problems please help me to fix them
if you can

1. Microphone has alot of static
2. I don't think my computer is recognizing the audio device (before i installed it the devices listed in sound and audio properties say Intel(R) Integrated Audio and Modem #0 Line Playback or something)and after i plugged it in it still says that and no other devices are listed
is there any way i can make the computer recognize my microphone?

I had that issue.

This is why I moved to using a microphone with the USB interface. It sidesteps all the problems you see in integrated audion modems and more.

Your choice.

While you proved the mic is fine on other machines, this machine has some less than happy audio card. I wonder if you were hoping to avoid fixing the machine? All I can offer is how I fix this. I use the newer USB microphone since it avoids having to fix the hardware.

fixed maybe

never mind i somehow fixed it
taking the mic off the table and moving it away from the speakers.
i guess it was the vibration of the table or something lol
still a lil bit of static though
