Alltel wireless service in Central and South Georgia...

Jul 20, 2005 2:32AM PDT

We are being forced by the sale of PSC to Alltel Wireless to change service providers to Alltel or pay a $200.00 per phone cancellation. My question is what kind of service does Alltel really have? My daughter is moving to Statesboro, Georgia for college, and this will be our only means of communicating with her. Anyone out there who can tell me the truth about Alltel Wireless Service?

Thanks!

Alltel wireless service in Central and South Georgia

I live in the Southwest and find their call quality to be excellent. I just switched to their Total Freedom Plan from the Greater Freedom Plan, took a trip into near-wilderness areas and coverage was awesome.

alltel service in statesboro quite good

I live in Statesboro and have had alltel as my service carrier for over 10 years--since back to the days of the bag phone. Around here they seem to have the best service. they are not necessarily the cheapest, but my phone works everywhere. I work in a large school and others I work with have to go outside or do weird things like stand by the sink to get reception on their phones from other carriers. Me--my phone always works. That's worth a lot to me when I am in communication with two teenagers with driver's licenses and busy schedules.
