Question

Allowing full screen

Apr 30, 2015 12:38PM PDT

Whenever I want to see a site in full screen - e.g. a picture on facebook, a game on pogo. - I'm asked if I want to allow that site to run full screen with keyboard controls.
This is very annoying, especially on pogo, where the games automatically go back to normal screen after every round.
I then have to allow the site to run in full screen again -
which in some games steal valuable time Happy
I actually have no idea, which program is asking for this,
whether it is Windows7, Firefox, or something else. I can
rule out my Internet security program, because the issue
was there, before installing it.
So - is it possible to allow specific sites to run full screen,
without having to be asked each and every time? Or just
allow all sites without being asked? And if so, where and
how do I do it?

But what about Firefox?
May 1, 2015 2:02AM PDT

I don't use Chrome - only Firefox. I do have an older version Chrome installed on my laptop, but never use it.
First, I don't like Google's policy. Second, I tried to use it once, it then told me there was an update available, so
I told it install it. It wouldn't. It said the site where it was downloading update from, wasn't secure. And it was Google
saying that - not my Internet Security program. So Google tells me that it's own site isn't safe - I guess that says
all about Google.
However, if it's possible in Chrome it should be possible in Firefox. I have searched the options menu, but nothing
there is about Full Screen. Any ideas?

That was in Mozilla's help: when on that site use the menu bar to go to Tools>Page Info and set "full screen" (with me it's on the bottom, but I have an older version) to "allow" instead of "ask". Uncheck "standard" on the left side first.

It works - and doesn't...

I found the settings and changed to "Allow". However, it only works on the page itself - not on the game on that page. Here is why. The games on pogo are embedded, which means the game itself has another address - in most cases game3.pogo.com. And since I only allow www.pogo.com to run full screen, it continues to ask if I will allow game3.pogo.com to run full screen. I can't change the settings for the embedded games - not even if I open them in a pop-up window, because I can't get into the menu bar then.
I thank you for your help, but unless you have another idea, I guess I'll have to live with this.
