I believe it was that morning that I lost my connection due to some DNS server issue. I'm in Ohio but my ISP is in Atlanta. When I couldn't ping either of the server addresses, I switched to the Google DNS numbers and found that others had reported problems with the servers in Atlanta. A few hours later, those servers were back on. I could wonder if this wasn't something deliberate on their part. The Atlanta airport had a power outage in December during a day in which we were flying back home from New Orleans. Atlanta is a huge hub and affects the air traffic in a large part of the US. There was a lot of scrambling that day in other airports than Hartsfield.
