All those APPS

Can you really get rid of the apps w/o hurting your Android phone? Not disable but actually get rid of them. On top of that why there so many to begin with. maybe, I'm too picky but if I can't remove something is that a good thing. Oh yes, these called "bloatware" by some. Anyone have an answer?

Galaxy -S Blaze (1mo. old) about ready to return it.

Some are glued down by the phone company. But "hurt" it? It's a consumer item like a toaster. If you hurt it, return it.

Returned it
Jun 15, 2012 10:58PM PDT

I was so unhappy with it I've returned it. They couldn't do anything while I was there and I left it. We're now in negotiations of selecting something else. Any ideas?

As far as i could tell, I didn't regain any memory when something was disabled or allowed to un-install anything. There simply was too much going on and I didn't need what they wanted me to have and wanted to load whatever I hoped would help me. I was already in a "learning curve" but too often in frustration mode. It sure looks good on TV but real life, it ain't for me. Total days usage, 41 days. ------Willy Happy

"Tivo-ization"

I think you want a "real" Android phone that is not locked done or has pre-installed apps. ALL carriers so far do not supply such.

At CTIA and other cellular shows the word I hear is that consumers want more apps and they want it to not break if the consumer does something wrong.

In the name of that is all not holy they lock apps into the system.

I find those that want control never like the supplied phones.
