All Programs not showing all programs

Aug 2, 2008 4:33AM PDT

I am running Vista Business. When I click on All Programs, I know of 2 programs that do not show up. I have opened all folders, still not there. One program, Elements 6 was on the computer at delivery and comes up when I load photos, but that is the only way to find it. CCleaner was added recently and it can be found via search but not via all programs. Am I missing something I need to know?
thanks for any help.

Click on Computer and open it, in the drop down menu click on local disk (C:), scroll down to Program Files, click on it and expand it, scroll down to the program(s) you are looking for, right click on your program(s), then open properties, then uncheck hidden. Ricky

All Programs vs Program Files...
Aug 3, 2008 2:54AM PDT

All Programs is simply a section of the Start Menu which displays shortcuts to the actual programs. A shortcut can be deleted or even never created, yet the program still exists. Browse through C:\Program Files to find the program, right-click it, select Copy, browse to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs, right-click any blank area in the window, and select Paste Shortcut. That will give you the Start Menu (All Programs) shortcut back.

Hope this helps,
John
