Is there a problem that this causes?
Hiya,
All my files on the desktop are greyed out and also my C: drive. I'm not sure why that is.
(Windows Vista, Intel Processor, HP Compaq)
Thanks for your help.

It doesn't cause a problem massively, except my desktop has greyed out icons and for my screensaver, the images don't load despite them being in the right folder.
Take ownership of only those screensaver images. DO NOT change anything else but these files' ownership and read-only and hidden attributes. As VISTA TAKE OWNERSHIP finds many articles about this, I'll stop here.

Is it hidden?
Have you done any operation before that or did you use some tool that made the trouble?
They look like they've been made hidden. It sort of just happened after getting rid of spyware (not convinced the two are related). I'm wondering if something in HKEY has been changed but I don't know enough to go rooting around. In addition to that, my shortcut icons for Internet Connexion and Audio have disappeared.
Thanks
