All good things come to an end

by Hinesite / August 4, 2010 11:28 PM PDT

First, hello. This is my first time posting to the board, but have relyed on Cnet for years for accurate informtion in My computer neds.
That aid, On to my issue.

I have a dell d600 laptop that after about 8 years of outstanding service finally gave up the ghost. gave up as in a puff of smoke and pffft. the computer is old now and obsolete so repairing it is not an option, however because of the abrupt nature of the demise i would love to be able to access the old hard drive and transfer as much of My old data. It is amazing how much of ones life comes to be stored on these infernal contraptions.

what I need is a solution that allows me to dock the old hard drive and access it's data for the transfer. using the old laptop is not an option.

The hard drive is a 'fujitsu model mht2060as at 60 GBand I would like to transfer it to my shiny new HP desktop.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
