Alert, possibly. Spyware Doctor 5.0

by Ray Harinec / March 21, 2007 5:48 AM PDT

Got an email this am saying that I could get a free update to Spyware Doctor 5.0. I'm a paid user of the present 4.XXX version.

Downloaded to a folder, then installed it and things went to pot. When in the forums right click to open in a new folder, took very long to get thast menu. Took very lonfg to open the post. Then clicking the X in the upper right corner took a minute before it went back to the main page of the forum [Computer Help and Hardware.

Looked at the task manager and the CPU went to 100% frequently. With the little use thatt I make of the system it virtually never hits 100%.

I uninstalled, and things appear to be back to normal. After uninstalling I used easy cleaner to clean the registry. Many items but none mentioned spyware Doctor.

During the install my Trend suite gave some warnings which I told to let it proceed.

This is just for info.

I will email the Spyware Doctor site.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
