Question

Alcatel USB Drivers

Sep 22, 2012 9:31AM PDT

Okay, so I went and bought a new USB cord for my Alcatel OT 888A today because I lost the one that came with the phone when I bought it. I plugged it in, it found whatever drivers it automatically finds and automatically started charging my phone. However, this is not what I bought it for, I have tons of pictures on my phone that I would like to transfer to my computer. So, I unplugged the cord from my phone, plugged it back in and selected "Mass Storage" on the startup screen. I proceeded to go to My Computer, to select the F:// drive it put the device on so I could pull off the pictures. But then I get a message saying "The disk must be formatted" so I said, okay whatever and clicked "OK" to format. Then I get a message saying it's unable to format and unable to read the file format on my phone. I've tried it on 3 different computers and I CANNOT get it to let me pull ANYthing off of my phone. What on earth is going on?! I never had a problem before! It was always, plug it in, let it install drivers if needed, go to the drive and transfer the pictures - Voila! You're done! I'm getting EXTREMELY frustrated. I only bought this stupid cord so I could FINALLY get the pictures off of my phone... Seeing as my phone has BlueTooth but it conveniently always says "WAIT! INITIALIZING!" every time I try to use it, I've never actually been able to use it or I'd just transfer them that way. Can somebody PLEASE help me before I freak out?!
