AKAI TVs

Now I know that AKAI is a 2nd tier brand. I owned an AKAI 30" widescreen TV a couple years ago and was pretty pleased with it. I heard that AKAI uses the same tubes as Samsung, or at least did when I bought my 30" TV so the picture was damn good for the money I paid.

I see that AKAI has HDTV LCDs now. Does anyone have one or know if their quality is decent?

" I know that AKAI is a 2nd tier brand"

But they have been a GOOD 2nd tier brand.
They do have close ties with Samsung so maybe this has carries over the LCDs as well. John
