Airport Express Airtunes + TV = Speakers

Oct 6, 2008 3:54AM PDT

I have three things:

TV
Aiport Express with Airtunes
and a set of old 5.1 computer speakers.

Currently the TV has its audio signal sent to the Speakers via a mini headphone jack. (The size-type you would use for an ipod)

What I want to do is send both the Audio signal from the TV and the Airport express, via the headphone jack cords which would require a converter, to the speakers

TV------------> Converter------->Speakers
Airport Express-----^

Can I do this with just a basic headphone jack wires/converters? If so, is there chance i could blow out the speakers/TV/Airport Express?

There are other inputs for the speakers COAX and Optical but I would like the easiest method possible. (I am not an audio file so audio quality issues really isnt an issue. I realize i can get better sound with optical or coax)
