I've been using an Airport Express as a router for the last three months, and it's worked fine without any complications. Until yesterday, I lived in a dorm room and the university I'm attending provided me with internet (so there was just an ethernet port in the wall). Yesterday I moved to an apartment, but still with internet from the university.
And now, since I moved, the Airport does not provide me with wireless internet anymore. It shows a green light, I can stream music to it just as I've done for months and I––initially––used the exact same settings (which did not include any special settings, I just ran Airport Utility, picked a name for it and a password and then done). But now it just doesn't work.
I've tried with my friend's macbook too and it doesn't work with his either. We've tried the ethernet ports in both of our rooms, does not help. I've tried resetting it several times, I've unplugged it from the wall, I think I've done everything I can think of. The connection works fine with a cable so it's the Airport screwing things up.
I updated to 10.6.2 the day before I moved, and the Airport Express uses the last version available (7.4.2).
Any ideas, thoughts, questions? I'm all out and I really need help, this cable is frustrating.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
