I had to use Verizon's DSL modem+router since it's defaults allowed this.
Hi there eveyone. I need help desperately. I have an old g4 powerbook with os 10.3.9. It seems that my ethernet port is no longer functioning. i've tried several different cords and even a new modem, it just doesn't work. Anyway, I got an airport extreme thinking I could bypass the ethernet port on my computer altogether. So far this is not the case. I cannot connect. AT&T dsl support has not been able to help me, they say I need to connect the computer directly to the modem and set it up first before connecting to the airport. I was wondering if this was necessary.
Is there a way to set up the network preferences to recognize the dsl connection wirelessly and avoid having to use my busted ethernet port?
Any help would greatly be appreciated......Thanks
