You can download the AIM Toolbar directly from AOL at http://toolbar.aol.com/aim/download.html, which I believe is a more updated version. However, you may also consider setting up Firefox's own Bookmarks toolbar with your favorite websites, which will prevent future such incompatibilities and can slightly increase overall performance.
Hope this helps,
John
Hi,
I have finally had it with IE and have been using Firefox 3.6 for about a week. One thing I miss is my AIM toolbar, since I have buttons for most of the sites I frequently visit. (I am running Windows Vista)
I tried to install the AIM toolbar today with no success. I found an "AIM Toolbar for Firefox (CNET) and tried to install it. I got the error message "AOL Toolbar 5.5.12.3 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 3.6" Does anybody know a workaround or another version of the toolbar that is compatible with Firefox 3.6?
Thank you!
Darren
