AIM EMAIL ALERT W/ GMAIL

I have AIM and an email address @netscape.net. I previously set up AIM so it would check my email for me and the mail alert window would pop up when i had new mail. Now, I have a gmail account, and i tried to make AIM check this email for me, but it doesn't work. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS?!

Advice...quit doing this!

Convenience= security risk= spyware trouble.
I don't use any pop3 server, 3rd party server, nor Outlook Express, no in-PC addresses.
It really doesn't take that long to go directly to email sites. Leave your addresses there.
Or, you're going to maybe have increased spy trouble, spam, hijacking, etc.

Won't work

Google tends to actively thwart attempts to produce programs like you want, so that people use their program instead.
