Ahh, the investigative media

There was a news team who wanted to go visit a army camp in Iraq. Every day they appeared at a roadblock on the only road to that camp early in the morning. They were kept waiting for 2 to 3 hours, then told they could now go down the road to the camp. When they got to the camp they always found everything normal.

The leader of the news team became quite supicious of the fact that every day they had to wait at the roadblock. He suspected something was going on at the camp that the army didn't want seen. He was determined to get to the camp and find out what was going on.

The next morning the news team leader arrived at the roadblock very early. A 2nd Lt. met him and told them they had to wait. The team leader said,"Lt., I'm tired of this crap. Every morning you tell me I have to wait until you clear me. I don't know what your hiding, but I am going down that road to the camp. And you can't stop me. Now, what do you have to say to that?"

The Lt. looked at the reporter. He then picked up the radio and called the camp. "This is Lt. Jones", he said. "Tell the Captain not to send out the patrol this morning to sweep the road for mines. These kind news people have JUST VOLUNTEERED to do the sweep for today".

Believe it was fictional, at least

....as far back as WWII, then again during the Korean
conflict, and again during Vietnam, and now in Iraq.

Sure hope we haven't progressed to the point that something
humorous has to be "Snoped" before it can be posted. Sad
