Three questions.

1. In Task Manager, don't go to Applications, but to Processes and be sure that 'Only show my own processes' is unchecked, so you see ALL processes. Then sort in CPU usage. Still 99% system idle and 1% your Task Manager?

2. Does this affect all programs (try Notepad, Wordpad, Windows Explorer and Command Prompt) or only the web-browsers?

3. If the system is waiting for a web-browser to become active that 10 minutes, how does the command line tool ping behave? Just type ping www.cnet.com (+ enter).
