Just copy-and-paste the files to wherever they belong (personal files only, not applications), remembering to take ownership as necessary.
Hope this helps,
John
While trying to install some new hardware, I made the mistake of using the install disk (it was made for XP). The install corrupted one of my boot files, and, as I hadn't made a recovery disk, required a complete reinstall of Vista Home Premium. At first I thought my computer disk was completely wiped, but then I noticed my C drive was still filed up. When I went there, under a folder "old windows", there were all my old files and programs. How can I restore the "old windows" so that everything is unified (or at least back to the way it was)?
